Senior Developer – Job Description:

  • Analyzing the client’s Immediate Payments architecture and needs
  • Designing, testing, and developing software to meet client’s needs
  • Documenting every aspect of an application or system as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades
  • Fixing problems or improving programs where clients find it too difficult to use
  • Performing upgrades and maintenance; and analyzing user needs and software requirements to Determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
  • Reviewing current high-level designs and ensuring that a program continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing
  • Collaborating with other computer specialists to create optimum software; modifying existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
  • Storing, retrieving, and manipulating data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements
  • Completing detailed low-level designs, designing each piece of an application or system and planning how the pieces will work together; conferring with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
  • Designing, developing and modifying software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
  • Developing software on IBM’s Financial Transaction Manager(FTM)base platform


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study
  • Minimum of five years in advanced programming, architecture, and design experience in the payment systems industry
  • Knowledge of advanced level English is mandatory
  • Specific experience with or knowledge of IBM’s Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) Corporate Payment Services application, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), and WebSphere platforms is also required
  • Experience in design, including high-level design and low-level design is mandatory
  • Experience with each of the following applications and technologies is also mandatory: IBM Message Broker, IBM WebSphere, IBM Rational Products, IBM FTM, and advanced JAVA programming skills
